The pieces Blues in None Abstract Truth and Joker were composed during the COVID-19 pandemic. At that time, I was listening intensively to the album Humanity by Joe Sanders, which had a significant influence on my work on these compositions.

What fascinates me about Sanders’ music is his structural approach. Unlike many jazz classics, which are often based on the AABA form and the familiar “theme – solo – solo – solo – theme” scheme, some of his works tend to follow a freer, often more open dramaturgy. This approach has shaped my own thinking.

I am generally interested in exploring alternative paths within the language of jazz. With Blues in None Abstract Truth and Joker, I aim—much like Joe Sanders—to break away from conventional aesthetics and explore new directions.
